About Me
Hey I'm Connor!
For those of you who have come to our older sessions you may know me as co-director of Code Cafe, for those who don't, nice to meet you! I'm a passionate Computer Science student dedicated to showing as many people as possible how fun computer science can be and building an inclusive tech culture at the uni of Staffs. Ive got 5+ years of experience in all things tech with a strong emphasis on software development and automation.
My goal is to make the Computing Society a hub for creativity, learning, and professional growth for everyone as well as as many hackathons as i can fit in a semester.

Key Goals & Pledges
Digital Transformation
I am going to be launching a new digital hub for the society. This platform will serve as a central hub for society announcements and resources in conjunction with the discord.
Hands-on Tech Workshops
I hope to organise more and more of all the tech workshops we know and love and hope to make more interactive ones in the future.
More Hackathons!!
I will be Organizing more frequent, inclusive hackathons with diverse themes, better prizes, and mentorship for beginners to encourage participation across all levels and hopefully some sponserships!
Expand Industry Partnerships
I will work to secure collaborations with tech companies to bring guest speakers, internship opportunities, and real-world projects to our members.
Better Student Representation
Creating a feedback loop where students can directly influence society activities and raise concerns regarding their academic and social experience.
Student Support System
I will implement a ticketed help system within our new digital hub. This will allow students who are struggling with coursework or technical projects to easily request support and mentorship from experienced society members.
